Che Guevara was a Marxist revolutionary who is the father of guerrilla warfare. He is a counterculture symbol all over the world and is one of the most influential figures. He was also a politician, military theorist, author and a physician. Che joined up with Fidel Castro to form the 26th of July movement which was intended to overthrow the US backed Cuban administration. He had many followers and was known as a strict taskmaster. Che was an atheist and he was a quissential icon for many. He has been venerated in a series of biographies, memoirs, books, and documentaries. Che Guevara was captured and executed in the year 1967.
